Just Battle Finals 2018

On December 2, after 4 hours of passionate and euphoric dancing at the highest level, eventually the Battle Kings of the 2018 Jiangxiaobai Just Battle International Street Dance Competition VOL.2 had been found, and the event at the Shizishan Sports Park, Chongqing, was concluded successfully. Over 1,000 spectators witnessed the triumph of 5 solo competitors–out of a thousand–and the distinction of 6 dance crews from overall a hundred competing teams.

Building world top-grade contests for street dance

Jiangxiaobai Just Battle International Street Dance Competition aims to provide a professional exchange platform for dancers who love street dance. For this purpose the sponsor invited 20 famous street dancers from China and abroad to serve as judges. Seven of them, Marquest, Jr Boogaloo, Mr.Wiggles, Victor, Peekaboo, Wang Yan and YsAella came from the US, five, i.e., Ohji, Ta-bo, Sayaka, Toyotaka and Gash came from Japan, Joseph Go and Kanon joined from France, Sunni from the UK, 1G from South Korea, Cheerito from Russia, and Feng Zheng, Stanly and Yu Bin, three top dancers, were invited from China.

The top referees, novel competition system and generous bonuses attracted 100 outstanding teams of dancers and 750 individuals from all over the world. In the books, Just Battle goes down as the most popular street dance competition held in China so far. The winning teams in the contest shared a total bonus of 1 million yuan in prize money.

Concerts, graffiti, fashion hairstyles and brands, food and fun…

Starting on November 30, the 3-day event offered professional workshops like “Master Class”, “In-Venue Contest” and “Ex-Venue Experience Zone”, turning the street dance contest into a cultural festival for young people. The “Ex-Venue Experience Zone” was accessible also to the public and provided visitors with playful and fun diversions rotating around the “Jiangxiaobai YOLO Hip-Hop Music Festival”, animation series “I am Jiang Xiaobai” and the “Joy in Bottle International Graffiti Contest”. Here the visitors could also get Just Battle merch, tattoos or the latest hair styles. The Jiangxiaobai Bistro offered quick bites and beverages for the hungry masses.

Even though the Just Battle dance competition has come to and end, Jiangxiaobai will continue to pass the spirit of street dance on to more people, opening a window for the world’s street dance community to better understand their counterparts in China. Ganbei, Jiangxiaobai! Just Battle!
