    Among the many varieties of osmanthus, the scent of aged golden osmanthus from old trees in Guilin City, Guangxi Province, is the most intense and its edible flavor is the best. These trees only bloom once every five years, with the slow accumulation of fragrance compounds making their aroma exceptionally rich and fragrant.
