Time Out Hong Kong Bar Awards
Time Out is a global media and leisure brand with publications in 58 countries. It first entered Hong Kong in 2008. As the go-to guide for Hong Kong nightlife, Time Out’s Bar Awards 2019 gathered more than 400 invited guests from the bar industry and professional spirit circle. The four on-site bars pampered the guests with exclusive cocktails, long drinks and beer, among them–JIANGXIAOBAI’s J-MIX bar.
JIANGXIAOBAI presented two special cocktails from their portfolio: Ice Breaker and Bubble at Dawn–an exclusive blend for Hong Kong compatriots’ tastes. As the most beloved cocktail of the J-MIX series, Ice Breaker has appeared in bars and international exhibitions all year round. This time, it received the praise of the thirsty citizens of Hong Kong. New J-Mix addition Bubble at Dawn attracted the crowd for its sweet and sour fruit flavor. Especially the female portion of the audience fell for the bubbly drink.
The Award Winners
Throughout the evening, Time Out presented a total of 12 awards. Among them, the JIANGXIAOBAI-sponsored “Rising Star Award”, acknowledging–surprise, surprise–rising stars of the Hong Kong bar scene. This year’s winner was skilled head bartender Yiu Yvonne Chan from runner-up in the “Best Bar” category, The Old Man.
To some, JIANGXIAOBAI might seem like another example of a rising star. After slightly more than two years of hard work, it has entered 24 countries and regions around the world. International recognition has also come in the form of awards at spirits competitions, where professionals acknowledged the products’ quality and taste. Maybe soon you’ll be able to spot the iconic JXB bottle at your local bar. And maybe your local bar will be spotted at the next Bar Awards!
